Protection
POLICY CHECK FOUR:
Are my properties protected when they are empty? Flats and houses might be empty for a host of reasons. They might be between tenants, you might be waiting for them to sell, or you might be doing some maintenance. Either way you will want to be sure that your insurance hasn’t lapsed. Most policies will protect them for up to a set number of days, though you may have to follow specific instructions over security as well as water supplies and central heating systems in winter.
